Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding

Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding

Bread pudding is basically left over breads turns into amazing dessert. It is very simple to make, cutting the bread into small pieces or diced, heat the milk and butter till hot then mixed the eggs, sugar, spices and salt then pour-in the bread pieces and transfer the mixture to baking pan and baked. That’s how simple to make this delicious bread pudding.

I suppose to make buns but end up making this bread pudding. Here is my story why? I normally use my bread making machine to make my dough for my buns. I placed all my ingredients for my buns in my bread making machine, turn it on and select the dough menu, then press start but I was unaware that I accidentally pressed the rapid bake button instead the start button. So, I let my bread machine to complete it cycle and leave the dough to proof. It normally will sound an alarm once the proofing is complete, so I wait. An hour and half pass the alarm sound and when I checked my bread machine…a baked loaf surprised me, hehehe.. my dough become a loaf. Since, the recipe is for the buns and the amount is more than what is required for a loaf the bread is very dense and inside is still wet, though it tastes good. So, not to waste my bun that turns into loaf I converted it into this yummy bread pudding.

My kids loves it and in time also for our afternoon snack time. Below is the recipe I used for making this bread pudding. It is very simple no fancy ingredients required and very old-fashioned style. Hope you will like it as much as we like this recipe.
